First things first, I got to say I was in Buenos Aires when Argentina totally killed it against France and made it to the penalty shootout, and man, they won! It was amazing.
Now here’s the million-dollar question: should you join the crowd in the streets of Argentina or be in a packed stadium in Qatar?
Being physically in the Stadium or not?
Surrounded by my Argentine friends, I experienced the thrill of the last game while watching it on a massive TV. It was not dull. They exerted maximum effort every single minute. The energy from the crowd intensified the excitement of the matches. In the stadium, every spectator is crucial on the field, offering support and help to Messi, with genuine fans who have traveled from all corners of the globe, regardless of the result.
The streets in Buenos Aires were calm. When Argentina scores or Messi pulls off something incredible, the sound of cheers reverberates through the surrounding buildings. It’s like a 5.0 earthquake. You can hear, see, and feel the game clearly on television, and your senses are telling you that something magical is happening throughout the country of Argentina.
Personally, I’d rather be in Argentina for the World Cup, cheering for Messi and the country that supports him. I get that it’s subjective and there’s no right or wrong answer, but imagine the streets filling up in just five minutes and witnessing blue and white jerseys everywhere.
You understand you are truly in Argentina and supporting the team and, more specifically, When Messi is finally capturing the moment of greatness unparalleled in my lifetime. When you see the streets, they’re packed. The city and country were amazing, and the players on the field had a strong bond with the people of Argentina. Ideally, a world cup in Argentina would be nice.
I believe it simply doesn’t matter where you are located because we as one.
I will forever remember this moment etched in my memory. It’s difficult for me to articulate the reasons behind my decision to align myself with the Argentines during a time of both turmoil and extraordinary triumph, which captured the attention of the entire world. No matter if it’s at the stadium or all the way across the world. Honestly, I’d prefer being in the beast’s belly. I got to say, I’m proud of my new home.
